Today I will be giving you my thoughts on a film I just saw; the film is Kung Fu Panda 2, The sequel to one of my favorite animated films, kung fu panda. The film brings us back to ancient china where an anthropomorphic peacock has hatched a scheme to harness the destructive power of gun powder to conquer and unite the fractured nation. The film features an ensemble cast of voice talents including, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Jack Black, Seth Rogan, Gary Oldman, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and Jackie chan. The film looks crisp, the fights are well choreographed, the story and characters are engrossing. However, honestly, I really don’t think this film NEEDED to exist, but I’m still glad they made it. All in all this film is quite well done and wraps up nicely, yet leaves room for a sequel which, with an idea this profitable is almost entirely certain to happen, this is dj chrysalis giving 8 stars out of 10.
